It’s so great to see an Australian exhibitor jumping into to fill the Netflix sized void in the Australian market. Dendy Direct (Dendy’s new video on demand service) is scheduled to launch on August 6th 2014 with content from the following distributors: ABC Commercial, Beyond Home Entertainment, Entertainment One Australia, Icon, Madman Entertainment, Pinnacle Films, Roadshow, Transmission, and Umbrella Entertainment for the launch. While they’re close to securing other with numerous other independent and studio distributors, it’s a solid foundation to invest in the future of home entertainment.
We at Graffiti with Punctuation are most excited about the availability of across devices. Dendy Direct will be available on PC, tablet, phablet/ mobile (iOS and Android) and for Samsung owners, through an exclusive application on Samsung Smart TVs by September. And for those of you making the jump to Chromecast, there’ll be a similar application a little later in the year.
