Johnny Knoxville’s FIVE STAR FILM: Blazing Saddles (Mel Brooks – 1974)

IN the immortal words of The Offspring, Jackass’s Johnny Knoxville has truly carved a niche for himself as the ‘original prankster’. In town to promote his latest offering – Bad Grandpa – Knoxville lived up to his reputation and bent the rules when it came to picking a Five Star Film. Instead he offered five classic choices, many which you wouldn’t expect.“I have so many favourite films but in terms of comedy, Blazing Saddles. I love Mel Brooks. That pushed it as far as you could possibly push it, you know? Doctor Strangelove is a great movie and I also love A Face In The Crowd by Elia Kazan. Harold and Maude and Peter Sellers’ Being There are other favourites.”
